Brookside Church encourages children from the age of 3 to be part of the main service. During the service the minister will give a childrens address, when all children of primary school age, are invited to the front of the church building for this time of worship including the childrens hymn, after which they return to their parents.
Children aged 3 - 7 years have the opportunity to leave for The Good News Club at the beginning of the 3rd praise. The Good News Club is held in the Minor Hall. Parents are welcome to accompany their children over to the Minor Hall and stay if required.
During this time the children will sing chorus's, learn memory verses and participate in a quiz based on the bible story they heard in Church. There is also activity sheets for the children to complete either in the Good News Club or at home. The children will remain in the hall until collected by an adult.
Evening services in Brookside are every third Sunday and The Good News Club is also available for the children. Following the Childrens Address and 2nd Hymn the children will leave to go the the Good News Club. Again the children will hear a story, sing bible chorus's, learn a memory verse and participate in a quiz based on the story. They are also provided with a supper consisting of milk and toast. If a parent does not wish their child to have a supper please inform one of the leaders.
