Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Ezekiel 2
Teaching by Rev. William Moody
Ezekiel is overwhelmed by the vision he has had of the lord and is on the ground, but the lor din grace lifts him through the Spirit (v1-2). To be the people God want sus to be it will only happen through the Spirit’s work.
Ezeliel is being commissioned to go to the stubborn and rebellious people of Israel (v3-4). We live among a very similar people today, and mor eimportantly we can be stubborn and rebellious in our own hearts. Pray, asking the Lord to show you were you are resisting His word and will.
Whether or not the people respond is not Ezekiel’s task, he is called to be faithful in sharing God’s word no matter what the response will be, and then they will know a prophet has been among them.
One of the most disabling things in following the Lord faithfully is fear and this is why Ezekiel is specifically called not to fear (v6-7). Take time to consider what fears hold you back in serving and speaking for the Lord.
Ezekiel is given a scroll to eat (v8-11). It was a scroll of ‘lamentation and mourning and woe’ (v11). In following Jesus the man of sorrows, we too need to share His grief at sin, and the pain it causes the Lord.
