Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Acts 20
Teaching by Rev. William Moody
Paul is on his way to Jerusalem and arranges for the elders in Ephesus to meet him at the port of Miletus (v17).
Paul speaks to the elders about his ministry which was humble (v19a), difficult (v19b), faithful (v20) and evangelistic (v21). Pray for faithful ministries like this in your church and community.
Paul speaks about what’s ahead for himself (v22-25), and then charges them to protect the flock (v28). This is needed as salvage wolves will come (v29-31). Pray that we all and particularly the elders will be watchful against false teaching. It may begin with just slight deviation but then the falsehood grows and grows. We are not immune from false teaching today.
Paul says he commits them to the Lord (v32) and then reminds them of his example (v33-35).
What a challenge this is to all of us about the example we give to others.
They finish their time together with tearful praying (v36-38). People devoted to each other pray with each other and for each other.
