Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Leviticus 7
Teaching by Rev. William Moody
This chapter gives more directions regarding the sacrifices. Everything had to be done properly and according to God’s truth as these sacrifices point to Jesus and the cross.
An interesting feature here is that when people were allowed to partake of the food of the sacrifice, it had to be taken that day or the next day at the latest, but not left to the third day when any left overs had to be destroyed (v15-18). This is teaching the importance of not putting off the eating of spiritual food. One of the great weapons of the devil is procrastination. When he sees we’re convinced we should do something he teaches us that it can wait. This passage teaches the opposite and the urgency of taking of the Lord’s spiritual feast.
The teaching on uncleanness spoiling the food or the worshipper (v19-21) reminds us that God is holy and those who approach Him must be holy also.
