Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Psalm 52-54
Teaching by Rev. William Moody
As we focus on Psalm 53, I think of how April first has been described as the atheist’s day (v1).
Verses 2-3 are quoted in Romans 3 and describe the nature of fallen humanity who constantly reject and turn away from the Lord. These verses portray great sadness in the heart of the Lord. May they not be true of us.
Those who attack God’s people (v4) do so with little knowledge in regards God and His ways in protecting His people. God will act and those who encamp around the people of God will be terrified (v5).
Always remember that those who attack Christians are to be pitied because their future holds terrible consequences.
For God’s people deliverance will come (v6). Believers need to constantly remember that nothing is outside the control of God and He works all things together for the good of those who love Him. We need to rejoice and praise the Lord for His great faithfulness towards His people.
