Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Joshua 18-19

Teaching by Rev. William Moody

When it comes to the dividing of the rest of the land, there seems to have been some hesitancy among these seven tribes (18 v3).

There is often this hesitancy to posses what they could have. Too often many believers fail to live in the full benefits of their salvation. People can be held back by a lack of faith, by fear, by distraction or even by laziness. It is important to ask ourselves if we’re living as second class citizens of the kingdom due to a lack of urgency and commitment.

To get the people advancing Joshua gives a very practical work for the people to do (18 v4-6). Sometimes what holds people back is not the things mentioned above, but rather the lack of a plan or vision.

The result of this is that the remaining seven tribes are given their inheritance (18 v11 – 19 v48, see map on Day 13).

Joshua is also given a specific inheritance according to God’s will (19 v49-50). Those who are faithful to the Lord will receive from His hand a glorious inheritance. As we think of the inheritance received by Joshua and the tribes, take time to consider and pray about your inheritance in the world to come. All wonderfully achieved through the sacrifice and grace of Jesus.
