The Seven Seals do not speak of events which happen one after the other but rather principles of history which explain what is happening at all times. Seals 6&7 though appear to speak specifically of the last period of this world.

Seals 1-4 are the four horsemen of the apocalypse (v1-8) who ride four differently coloured horses which were the main weapons of war.

Seal 1 is the white horse, the conqueror (v1-2) which represents powerful kings and kingdoms which will rule on the earth.

Seal 2 is the red horse which represents a loss of peace (v3-4) on the world.

Seal 3 is the black horse who brings scarcity and terrible inflation (v5-6).

Seal 4 is the pale horse who brings death on one quarter of the earth (v7-8).

The vision of seals was not written to tell that there will be suffering, but to make sense of what was happening and remind us Christ is in control of all.
