Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Revelation 20

Teaching by Rev. William Moody

Satan is bound (v1-3) and the key phrase is “so that he might not deceive the nations any longer” (v3). The binding of Satan coincides with the coming of Jesus (Mark 3 v26-27) and a new day was dawning for the nations as the apostles were told to go into all the world with the Gospel.  The 1,000 years are symbolic of the time from Jesus’ first coming until His second coming.

The Saints reigning (v4-6) during the same one thousand years is a picture of the church triumphant, reigning with Christ in heaven during the time between His first and second coming. The first resurrection is Jesus’ resurrection and here those who share in its power are souls made alive to be with Jesus in heaven. Over these people the second death, going to the lake of fire, has no power, as they share in the victory of Jesus and His resurrection (v6).

Next, we think of the church militant, the church that continues to battle here on earth (v7-10). Satan is released at the end of time, which speaks of him receiving greater power to deceive. Satan after being released, does his best to destroy God’s people, but God intervenes.
