Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read John 15
Teaching by Rev. William Moody
A branch separated from the main vine can no longer bear fruit. Likewise it is impossible for a believer separated from Christ to bear fruit (v4). The key to fruitfulness is a life abiding in Christ and knowing therefore His life-giving power flow through us.
When we neglect waiting upon Christ, spending time with and relying on Him then we’re seeking to be fruitful in our own strength and by our own efforts which will not be possible. We can be very active without relying on Christ but we will not be fruitful (v5).
Fruitfulness is a necessity of the Christian life; someone who is not fruitful does not belong to Christ and faces judgment (v6). Have you fruitfulness?
it is possible though for the genuine believer to go through times of unfruitfulness and spiritual dryness particularly through neglecting time to abide in Christ. Is this maybe you?
Abiding in Christ we see (v7) happens through Christ’s Word dwelling in us and that Word moulding a life of prayer according to God’s will. Our union with Christ needs ongoing communion with Christ for us to be fruitful.
