Daily Bible Reading Tuesday 6th December 2022

Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read 1 Corinthians 6

Teaching by Rev. William Moody

Paul in speaking of how disputes among believers should be settled privately within the fellowship (v1-8), shares the amazing truth that one day Christians will be involved in exercising judgment over angels (v3).

A church fellowship and each member need to have maturity both to live with integrity and also to be able to deal with disagreements properly.

Paul returns to speak of sexual sin and gives wonderful hope (v9-11). Notice after speaking of different sins (including homosexuality), he speaks of how people have been transformed from these sins by God’s grace (v11). These verses need to be remembered by all believers in light of the LGBT debate.

Paul warns of the danger of being mastered by sins and speaks of how sexual immorality is so horrendous for the Christian because as part of the body of Christ, and people indwelt by the Spirit, they are joining Christ and the Spirit to such sin (v12-20).

Read again the last two verses (v19-20) and pray about how what Paul teaches here should impact how you live day by day.
