Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Exodus 26
Teaching by Rev. William Moody
The three colours which would dominate the colours of the tabernacle curtains are very significant (v1). Blue is the colour of heaven, purple the colour of royalty and scarlet the colour of sacrifice. All these colours point forward to Jesus, who He and what He has come to do.
The cherubim woven into the curtains (v1) speak of the worship of heaven and coming into the presence of the God of heaven. There is a desire to get across to people the awesomeness of God and the privilege of worshipping Him. Worship is never to be common or casual.
There is great detail gone into about the curtains, loops, clasps frames and pillars (v2-30). All had to be according to God’s plan (v30). The three metals that would dominate are gold (the metal of royalty), silver (the metal of redemption) and bronze (the metal of sacrifice).
The tabernacle would have different areas divided by veils (v31-37), the most important being the holy place where the priests would minister and then the most holy place where the ark and mercy seat would be. Cherubim on the veil would guard the way into the most holy place of God’s presence (v31).
