Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Exodus 27

Teaching by Rev. William Moody

The court of the tabernacle is now described and again in great detail (v1-19). Again the three colours of blue (heaven), scarlet (royalty) and scarlet (sacrifice) would dominate (v16). The metals of bronze and silver would dominate. Even that the pegs of the tabernacle would be bronze was specified (v19). God cares about this place down to the finest detail.

This reminds us that all we do for the Lord needs to be done to the very best of our ability down to the finest detail.

The outer court would not actually be very big (100 cubits by 50 cubits or 150 feet by 75 feet). This of course was a portable place of worship and needed to be able to be taken down and put up easily.

The oil for the lamp had to be pure oil (v20) which speaks of the Holy Spirit who is perfectly pure who brings light into our darkness. Aaron and the priests had to keep the lamp burning all night.

Through the Holy Spirit we need to keep the light of God’s worship burning in our lives for others to see and be drawn to Christ. Pray about this.
