Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org.
Please read Exodus 40.

In this concluding section of the book of Exodus (v34-38), we see what one of the main purposes of the tabernacle is as a place for God’s glory to be revealed (v34). This God’s glory was intense and Moses could not enter (v35).

God’s glory is far beyond anything we can imagine or even bear. There is the danger that we underestimate God. The glory of God speaks of revealing something of the majestic greatness and immeasurable worth of God.

The Israelites followed the glory of God (v36-37) and it should be our goal and passion in life to seek to know God’s greatness and let that greatness set the agenda for our lives. The glory of God (v38) was a great source of security and comfort for God’s people. God’s glory was a reminder that life was to be centred and focused on this God of perfection.

Jesus came to reveal God’s glory (John 1 v14), and it is a life lived with Christ that brings God’s glory into our lives. Have you a growing knowledge of the glory of God made known through Jesus? Are you seeking this in your life?
