These workmen who served had certain things which were true about them:-

a.       They were skilled in what they did (v1-2, 8)

We should thank God for men and women who are very gifted in many different ways and they use their skills for the good of the church.

b.      They acted according to God’s plans (v1b, 9-38)

God gave very detailed plans which the workmen obeyed down to the finest details as mentioned here (v9-38). Does God’s word guide how you serve?

c.       They were stirred up by God to serve (v2b)

These were not reluctant but very willing works because their hearts were fully in what they were doing. How stirred up is your heart to serve?

d.      They received great support from the people (v3-7)

The people had to be told to stop giving because they kept giving and were giving more than enough (v5). Wouldn’t this be a lovely problem for the church today?
