Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Philippians 4

Teaching by Rev. William Moody

Paul ministers in the real world and seeks to heal divisions (v2-3). He then returns to his theme of joy, which is to be found in a life of fellowship with the Lord (v4-7). Prayer and a life focusing on and living out God’s truth (v8-9), brings peace, a state of contentment and security in Christ.

Paul speaks of how in every situation in life he has found the secret of contentment (v11-13). It is God who brings and enables such contentment (v13).

Paul encourages the Philippians to support him for their own sake (v14-19). Holding on tightly to possessions will prevent contentment, as it comes to a warm and giving heart.

Paul can’t speak about the provision in Christ (v19), without being moved to glorify God (v20). Paul is consumed with adoration of God.

As Paul ends with some greetings (v21-23), he reveals how the Gospel has penetrated right into Caesar’s household (v22). To God be the glory.
