Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Genesis 43

Teaching by Rev. William Moody

The brothers who sold Joseph for silver now consider silver as unimportant and want to return what they had been given back (v19-22). These men who were once scoundrels are becoming men of integrity. They don’t realise how much but God is at work here (v23).

We will never understand what is happening to us in life until we realise that God’s great goal for us is holiness, for us to be transformed inwardly into the likeness of Christ. God uses the trials and circumstances of life to mould and remould the lives of His people.

When Joseph arrives they present their gifts and he asks about their father (v26-28). When he meets Benjamin, Joseph is again overwhelmed (v29-31).

Joseph is not controlled by bitterness, his emotions reveal his great love for his brothers, but he is acting to see his brothers transformed.

When the brothers are seated they have been arranged in age order to their astonishment (v32-33) and Benjamin receives extra portions. They are dealing with someone who knows them better than they realise. So it is with us and Jesus, He knows us so well and He perfectly knows what we need.
