Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Psalm 104

Teaching by Rev. William Moody

The Lord is pictured here as being gloriously on the march in great splendour through the world (v1-4). The focus goes to God’s work of creating and sustaining this world (v5-23).

There is a focus in this on providing the needed waters (v6-13), in providing for the birds (v12, 17), the wild donkeys (v11, mankind (v15), the stork (v17), the wild goats (v18), the rock badgers (v18), the young lions (v21).

In all this the Psalmist is wanting us to see that all the Lord does, He does so well and is to be praised (v24-26). Creation looks to the Lord for its food, it recognises its dependence on its Creator (v27-30).

The Psalmist wants the Lord to experience the gory and enjoyment that He deserves from His creation (v31-32). The Psalmist from creation has grasped a sense of the awesomeness of the Creator. He wants to sing of the Lord (v33) and to please the Lord with His thoughts (v34).

The wicked who don’t worship deserve to be destroyed (v35) while the righteous will be full of praise.
