Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Psalm 105
Teaching by Rev. William Moody
This Psalm begins with encouragement to give praise to the Lord and also to seek Him (v1-4). Worship is to be a time of seeking the Lord.
Remembering what the Lord has done (v5), including choosing a people for Himself (v6), should encourage worship and a deeper seeking of the Lord.
The Lord is active all over the world in exercising judgment (v7) and in caring for His people according to His covenant promises (v8-11).
Even in their infancy as a nation, God cared for Israel and preserved them wonderfully (12-15). Through Joseph being sent to Egypt, the Lord had planned for their needed provision in a time of famine (v16-24).
Through Moses and Aaron the people were delivered from Egypt through the plagues (v25-38). They were provided for in the wilderness (v39-43) and then brought them to conquer the land of Canaan (v44-45).
All of this was to create of people who would be faithful to the Lord and Praise His Name (v45). As you look over God’s great plan for Israel and for us today as God’s people, it should make us marvel as God’s love, wisdom and power.
