Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org. Please read Ezekiel 43

Teaching by Rev. William Moody

As with the tabernacle and then with temple, the glory of God now comes to fill this temple (v4-5). Here we see the whole purpose of first God creatign the world and then introducing His great plan of salvation, that God would dwell among His people (v6-7). This great desire of God would be fulfilled in the coming of Jesus so that God would dwell with us here, so thatw e can then dwell with God forever in glory.

As we think of this, it should highlight how much God wants to have fellowship with and communicate with us. God longs for us to praise and to pray to Him. God longs for us to listen to His voice. God is waiting for you!

Another part of the purpose of this vision of the temple is revealed here (v7-8). God is wanting to shame His people for how they failed to treat the great privileges they had received with the respect they deserved.

Instead of seeing themselves as the most privileged people on the earth, they looked with jealousy on their pagan neighbours and brought their idolatry and all thatw ent with it into their worship and living. This amazing vision of the future blessing of the temple was to remind the people how they had failed to valued what they had graciously been given.

Do you understand the great privileges that God has given to you through Christ? Do you value having the bible in your own language and having the freedom to meet with God’s people to worship, study His word and pray? Do you value the amazing access you have to God through Jesus?
