Apologies, but we couldn't display this passage from ESV.org.
Please read Ezekiel 48.

In Ezekiel 47 v13 – 48 v29 we have a list of the future inheritance of the land. This land distribution is in the Lord’s vision, it speaks of the whole Promised Land as given by the Lord being occupied. When Joshua led the Israelites originally into the land, they failed to take the whole land, particularly at the extremes of their boundaries, but here there is spoken of complete possession. This speaks of God’s inheritance for his people being perfectly complete, satisfying and secure.

In this inheritance in Ezekiel’s vision interestingly there is a clear inheritance for believing Gentiles (47 v22-23).

The city gates (48 v30-35) being named after the 12 tribes speaks of how there will be a way of entrance for all of God’s true people. This would be a welcoming city for every true believer. Wonderfully the Lord waits for those who will turn to Him in repentance and He will never cast them away (John 6 v37). Have you come to Jesus and been accepted by Him? Only when that happens will you know you will have a welcome in heaven.

The city is called “the Lord is there” (v35). This is surely the theme of the whole book, to enable a wayward people to return to their true God. This is surely the message of the whole Bible. We need to see God’s glory and return.
